Septic system soil absorbtion system

The S.A.S. (Soil Absorbtion System), also known as a leaching field, is where the liquid waste (effluent) flows from the distribution box to the leaching system where it is discharged into the soil.

The most common leaching systems are called leaching fields, consisting of a series of perforated pipes set in stone-filled trenches.
